How to make Toasted Coconut Flakes

Begin by adding raw coconut chips to a medium-sized skillet over medium-high heat. No need to add any oil!

The coconut chips will start to release oil as they heat up - this is perfect! Stir the coconut chips.

Keep stirring the coconut chips so that they don't overcook and burn. Stir them until they turn golden brown.

Turn off the heat on the stove and add the coconut chips to a serving bowl or dish. They will be quite hot so take care!

Optionally, if some of the coconut chips haven't quite toasted to your liking, add those coconut flakes back into the pan for a few more minutes.

While the coconut flakes are still hot, sprinkle them with a little sea salt. Coconut chips are great on smoothie bowls, covered in chocolate or just as they are on their own.
