How to make Chicken Drumsticks in the Air Fryer

Begin by patting the drumsticks dry with a paper towel and coating them in seasoning (skip this step for now if using frozen chicken). I seasoned them with smoked paprika, chili powder, garlic, salt and pepper.

Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes (while prepping the chicken) and then add the chicken to the air fryer. Cook for 10 minutes if the chicken is thawed, 15 if frozen.

After the initial 10 or 15 minute cook, open the air fryer and turn the chicken with a pair of tongs. If cooking from frozen, this is now the point that you'll season the chicken in a mixing bowl.

Air Fry for another 10 or 15 minutes, until cooked through. You can double-check the temperature of the chicken with a thermometer if you're unsure of its doneness.

Serve with your favourite dip and a selection of roasted or raw vegetables, or even a salad. Kids love this healthy air fryer recipe too - it's fun to eat with your hands!
