Baked Camembert with Honey, Bacon, Basil & Chili

Begin by scoring the Camembert horizontally and vertically. This is so the herbs, spice and honey become infused into the cheese.

Press the leaves from one or two fresh sprigs of basil into the scores.

Add a pinch of dried chili flakes over the camembert (about 1/4 teaspoon).

Dice and fry 3 strips of streaky bacon until they are cooked but not yet crispy. Add the bacon pieces on top of the camembert.

Drizzle on 1 or 2 teaspoons of honey. Use one teaspoon to keep it 1g net carbs per portion, or 2 teaspoons come to 2g net carbs per portion.

Bake the Camembert with Honey in the oven at 175°C/350°F for 15 minutes. Serve with crackers (there are plenty of low carb options out there!) or bread.
